Here is a very good and large Venezoliceras (Oxytropidoceras) that was collected from the Kiamichi Formation in Pecos County, Texas. It was found just below the contact with the overlying Duck Creek Formation. These forms are not common in the West Texas Kiamichi. This specimen was in pieces when collected and has been repaired and the fractures have been restored. The innermost whorls are also restored. This sample has some very good suture patterns. It is 12 inches across at its largest diameter.
