This is a tiny example of the genus. Generally Macginitiea leaves are large and may be up to 8 inches. This is a complete leaf including the rachus. There are two Mimosites coloradensis leaflets also on the slab.
Macginitiea wyomingensis, is a Sycamore relative, from the Green River Formation. The number of lobes are variable The slightly serrrated margins are exhibited in wonderful fashion, the venation of the leaf is quite distinct, and a long petiole is still tightly attached to the leaf.
